What information do we collect?

When submitting your manuscript, you will be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, postal address (i.e. affiliation), contact number (optional). You will be asked to enter your: name and email address when you subscribe to our newsletter on our website or contact us via contact us form available on our website. You may, however, visit our site anonymously in case you do not submit your manuscript on our site, do not opt-in for newsletter or contact us via our online contact us form.
Who is data controller and data processor?
The corresponding author submitting manuscript, or online visitor requesting newsletter, or online visitor contacting us via online contact us form, are the data controllers because we only process their supplied personal information for publication/contact response/newsletter purpose and we cannot change personal data without their consent. This data may include author/co-author(s) name, emails and affiliations.
What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  • You understand that your name, provided address and email will be published in your research article as a standard scholarly publishing practice;

  • To personalize your experience (your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs);

  • To improve our website (we continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you);

  • To improve author support service (your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs);

  • Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of indexing and abstracting of your article;

  • To administer a scholarly contest, reward, promotion, survey or other site feature;

  • The email address you provide, may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your article, in addition to receiving occasional journal news, updates, related product or service information, etc.


Protection of sensitive information?
Authors understand that any information related to the article publishing and other transactional information is strictly confidential between authors and IJMESS. The author share of publication related transactions are processed by our payment service provider 2checkout and your sensitive data is processed on their secured servers once you make a checkout. Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.
